To maintain our "Top 1%" standard, we collect more rigorous data than typical platforms.
A. Verification Data (The "Gatekeeper" Data)
- Identity Documents: Government-issued ID (Passport/Driver’s License) for identity verification.
- Professional Validation: LinkedIn profile sync, work email verification, and proof of achievements (e.g., exit value, awards, publications).
Note: Sensitive ID documents are processed by our secure verification partners and are not visible to other users.
B. Profile & Reputation Data
- The "1% Score" Inputs: We track your engagement quality, successful introductions, endorsements, and verified milestones to calculate your visible reputation score.
- Activity Data: Your interactions with Cards (e.g., marking Insightful, requesting intros) to personalize your Daily Digest.
C. Concierge & Payment Data
- Concierge Requests: Information shared with our human Concierge team to facilitate introductions or event bookings.
- Billing Information: Processed securely via Stripe (or local processors) for Pro/Elite subscriptions.
3. How We Use Your Data
We process your information to power the specific mechanics of the Urban Connection platform:
- To Enforce Exclusivity: Verifying that you meet the "Top 1%" criteria before granting access.
- To Power the "Daily Digest": Our algorithms use your City and Profession tags to curate your daily briefing (max 10 items).
- To Facilitate Introductions: We use "Relevance Scoring" (matching city, profession, and interests) to suggest connections. Contact details are only shared after both parties agree to connect (Double Opt-In).
- To Manage "Elite Circles": We use your profile data to rotate you into new micro-communities (8-12 people) every Monday .
4. The "1% Score" & Public Visibility
- What is Visible: Your Name, Title, Verified Badge, Achievement Wall, and your aggregated "1% Score" or Reputation Tier are visible to other members.
- What is Private: Your specific contact details (email/phone) remain private until you accept an introduction request.
5. Concierge & Human Access
For "Pro" and "Elite" members, our Concierge Service involves human-in-the-loop assistance. Authorized Concierge staff may access your profile and preferences to manually curate introductions, book event tickets, or vetting opportunities on your behalf. All Concierge staff are bound by strict confidentiality agreements.
6. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell data. We only share data in the following limited product scenarios:
- Event Hosts: If you RSVP to an event, your profile summary may be shared with the host for curation.
- Strategic Partners: If you redeem a "Private Offer" or "Benefit," necessary validation data may be shared with the partner.
7. Your Rights & Control
- Right to Delete: You may delete your account at any time. However, to prevent bad actors from re-joining, we may retain a cryptographic hash of your identity to enforce our permanent ban policy on banned users.
